We were approached by this client, relocating with her husband from the North to Dorset. They were in need of our expertise and contacts to bring the design concept and renovation together for her new home.
She has been one of the most hands-on clients with lots of ideas for a vibrant colour scheme in each room, and a pleasure to work with, so it was a collaboration in the true sense of the word, which was wonderful, as her vision was so colourful and full of joy!
Room by room, we chatted through ideas and agreed on finishes, before taking on full project management of this extensive project, albeit our client procured many of her own!
We knocked through the garage to create a family size kitchen/living area, and a well-proportioned utility room, a spacious hallway, and a newly built en-suite bathroom for her master bedroom. The house flowed so much better with the new floor plan!
Projects such as this are not generally for the faint hearted, but we brought our architect, planners and builders on board, providing them all with a full set of plans, drawings and specifications, and saw the project through from the outset to completion, ensuring all works were programmed and carried out as scheduled, certification issued, building regs signed off, and all the snagging completed.
I hope we made the process easier for our client by handling every aspect of the project renovation in their absence. She definitely took it all in her stride along with a big move down to Bournemouth and our lovely clients seem to have settled into their new home with their 2 dogs beautifully, enjoying beach life which includes sunrise swims on a daily basis I hear!
