Having completed a design concept for this client’s home last year, (Branksome lounge), I was invited back to update their newly purchased restaurant, lovely but slightly tired, located in a hotel on a beautiful harbour in Dorset … the client chose teal for their seating, so we picked little green paint to match, and a heavy domestic slightly patterned carpet made for commercial areas, in blue tones that resembled the ebb and flow of the water it overlooks .. keeping the concept organic we chose linen voiles to wash over the large glass floor to ceiling windows and wicker pendants to look down over all the tables .. we produced a hand printed vinyl wall covering to complement the tones of the scheme and from there the client added many of their own touches and sofas to complete the look.. not a huge change in so far as it was simply cosmetic changes but what a difference this little update made !! Now so bright and airy ! X
