We were invited to design a concept for extended open plan living, for a delightful family with young children and a black Labrador that I struggled to say goodbye to every time I left the property!! They were new to the area and were looking to create more space in their new family home, a chalet bungalow that offers significant space, so even with an extension, they will still have space to slip away into a quiet little snug for some p&q!
Our plan was to enlarge the property and square off the L shape, add bifold doors along the back of the house to shed as much light as possible into the living area, and bring the outdoors in! We designed a space that provided a lovely oversized island with tower units running along the length of the room behind it, into an existing out of sight utility room, we added dining and living space, complete with welcoming log burner to finish off the scheme with fingers crossed this project should get going early 2023 so watch this space to see the scheme become a reality, and see what finishes we choose !
