Sometimes it takes time to make a house a home...

When I look back on these times and think about what working life was like during Covid, I will remember it with gratitude; the building industry has never been so busy, in a time when so many businesses have been unable to trade, and people have lost jobs. Yes, Lead times are sometimes long, material prices have increased, and many trades are charging significantly more than they ever did before in the knowledge they will fill their week regardless. But let’s look at the upside here to delays in project planning and build, let’s consider how it gives both us and our clients, time to consider what they really want from their homes, and that in some cases has been a really good thing.. I have often advised clients wanting to make instant changes, to wait a while anyway, (before they had no choice!) because I believe its beneficial to see how the space works for them before making any costly decisions that they may want to amend when it is too late… not to mention it gives them more time to save up!!! And those kerbsides only deliveries give everyone a chance to work those muscles!! So come on let’s embrace the downside … we will still after all make your home everything you dreamed of x
